Changing Things Up
Wow, I have been gone from my blog for a very long time. Things got really frustrating with the weight loss and I was having a bad attitude. It turns out that my doctor should have never put me on the thyroid meds. It caused my insomnia and all the weight I lost on it (about 10 lbs) came right back on. In fact, it slowed my metabolism way down and I didn't lose any weight for months. Then in the month of March I got so frustrated (and had a lot of stress) that I basically binged my way through the month. I got on the scale on Monday and was up to 235. That scared me really bad, I don't want to gain back all that I have worked so hard to lose. I am back at it but I am doing it the old fashion way this time - counting calories. I bought myself a BodyMedia Fit. I absolutely love it! It keeps track of how many calories I burn, steps I take, calories I eat, moderate and vigorous exercise, etc. It has really encourage me to exercise. At any point during the day I can look at it and see how much more I need to do to reach my goal. My goal at this point is to have a 1000 calorie deficit each day so I will lose an average of two pounds a week. As of today I am down 4 lbs. so I know it is working. I'm not going to give up!!
